Famous Enterprises Gather and Shine-The Rising Kirin in Nanjing Reaches New Highlands

On June 22, at the 2020 Nanjing Innovation Zhou Zijinshan Innovation Conference, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Jiangsu Provincial People´s Government held an online signing ceremony for the "Cooperation Agreement for the Jiangsu Provincial People´s Government of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to build Nanjing Kirin science and technology City, promote Nanjing comprehensive science center, and build a new high in Nanjing region".

 

According to the agreement, in the future, the two sides will focus on key disciplines such as information and artificial intelligence, life and biosafety, energy and environment, poolcombine innovative resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and jointly promote the pre-research and construction of large scientific facilities such as "Information High-speed Railway Test Facility" and "Space Astronomical Exploration and Operation Control Experimental Facility". The two sides will jointly support the construction of cutting-edge cross-research centers and key common technology platforms in space astronomy, soil and water environment, biological safety, artificial intelligence, etc., gather top scientific and technological talents, and jointly build Kirin Science and Technology City into the core area of Nanjing Comprehensive Science Center and the new high in Nanjing region of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

 

 

Njing Kirin Science and Technology City, which was signed this time, is located at the core of Nanjing Zidong Science and Technology Corridor. Focusing on building a new high in the Nanjing region of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the first phase of construction covers an area of about 6.8 square kilometers. The three parties took the opportunity of the centralized construction of Kirin New Park of the Nanjing Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nanjing College of the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to deepen the integration of science and education and accelerate the gathering of scientific and technological innovation resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

 

In the future, the Nanjing Kirin Science and Education Park of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which covers an area of 600 mu and has a construction area of more than 400,000 square meters in the first phase, will rely on the Nanjing Kirin Science and Technology Innovation Park to build a Kirin Science and Technology City, focusing on the fields of information, life and energy environment, effectively pooling the high-end innovation resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and striving to create a new high in the Nanjing region of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It will be built into Nanjing Comprehensive Science Center and Industrial Science and Technology Innovation Core Area, the key fulcrum of Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology Innovation Community, and the important source of national innovation.

 

At present, Jiangsu Province is facing multiple national strategic opportunities such as the high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It has put forward the strategic plan of building "an industrial science and technology innovation center with global influence and an advanced manufacturing base with international competitiveness".

 

In order to give full play to its own advantages, rRaise the status of provincial capital cities, Nanjing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government took the initiative to plan and put forward the "121" strategy of "building a famous innovative city with global influence, building a comprehensive science center and a science and technology industry innovation center, and building a first-class innovation ecological system" to build Nanjing into a city that encourages innovation, is most suitable for innovation, and has the most vitality of innovation and entrepreneurship.

 

Kirin Science and Technology Park, as an innovative carrier of Nanjing´s eastern development strategy, will make full use of the intensive scientific and educational resources in the eastern region to build an innovative city in the future. Science and Technology Park is guided by the development of agglomeration clusters, enlarging the advantages of manufacturing industry and building an industrial city.

 

 Zhongway No.1 Industrial Park is also located in Kirin Science and Technology Park.

 

 On March 5, 2020, the "online + offline" centralized signing activity for the major investment promotion project of Kirin Science and Technology Park was held. Chairwoman Ms. Zhu Lingli of Zhongway Group was invited to attend the meeting and formally signed Zhongway No.1 Industrial Park at the meeting.

 

Zhongway No.1 Industrial Park is the first light asset and heavy asset combination project of Zhongway Group in Nanjing. It will continue to attract outstanding enterprises from all over the country and the world to enter, build a first-class industrial park for Kirin´s development, introduce international first-class industrial resources, and further form a highland for high-quality industrial agglomeration and transformation of scientific achievements. It will help Kirin Scientific Innovation Park to become the core area of Nanjing´s famous innovative city and the main area of a comprehensive scientific center in all aspects.

Innovation highland is rising

Kirin Park of Nanjing Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences is a key project in Nanjing and a national "13th Five-Year Plan" scientific research platform construction project supported by Chinese Academy of Sciences. Nanjing Branch, Paleontology Institute, Soil Institute, Earth Lake Institute and Tianguang Institute are concentrated. It has 3 national key laboratories, 2 national engineering laboratories, 1 international advanced astronomical optical design and processing test platform and several key laboratories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. A research and development team of nearly 2,000 people, including 7 academicians of the "two houses" and dozens of national "outstanding youth".

 

The Nanjing College of the National University of Science and Technology is jointly established by the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Nanjing Municipal People´s Government, and is built and managed by the Nanjing Branch of the Chinese. The college is based on the advantageous disciplines of resources and environment, modern agriculture and space astronomy of Nanjing Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences. It integrate the research and development institutions of Nanjing Branch of other research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, focus on cultivating information and artificial intelligence, biosafety and other disciplines, and build a science and education integration institute with interdisciplinary integration, domestic well-known and international influence. The College strives to reach 2,000 graduate students of all kinds and 600 teachers in long-term and double-term positions by 2025. The two projects will be completed and delivered simultaneously by the end of 2020.

 

At the same time, the Park has vigorously gathered high-end innovative resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences system, and has successively introduced seven research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including the Institute of Automation, the Institute of Computing, the Shanghai Pasteur Institute and the Institute of Software, within the scope of regional record-breaking places. The park has set up a Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Chip Innovation Research Institute, Institute of Computing Technology Nanjing Institute of Mobile Communications and Computing Innovation, Kirin Innovation Research Institute of Shanghai Pasteur Research Institute, Nanjing Research Institute of Computing, Nanjing Green Manufacturing Industry Innovation Research Institute of Process Engineering Research Institute, Nanjing Future Energy System Research Institute of Engineering Thermophysics Research Institute, Nanjing Intelligent Technology Research Institute of Microelectronics Research Institute, and Nanjing Software Technology Research Institute of Software Research Institute. The "1 + N" innovative resource system of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has been initially established.


 

In addition to scientific research institutes, four projects, Zhongway No.1 Industrial Park, Five-Star Holding Headquarters Base, Kefu Times International Innovation Center and Kirin Yangtze River Delta Enterprise Headquarters Base, will bring 100 billion output value to the industrial clusters in the Park.
